I like the softness of the photo and the seemingly easy acceptance that the swallow has flown away.

Thought it was my eyes :-)
Nostalgia reigns it seems.
Is that R. 'Handel' or possibly 'Peace' by any chance?
Are you going to join Boonie's 'Manchester and Milton Keynes Mondays' ? (:-) What a sense of humour.

I love the softness of both the image and the words. It is perfect for the soft morning light I see out my window.

The soft focus seems appropriate for these old-fashioned white roses, and for the idea of a season's sojourn.

a rose is so beautiful, no matter how sharp or blurry...and this captures all the softness
The image of the out of focus bloom and the missing, sojourning swallow are a lovely juxtaposition for this part of Fall leading us into winter. I like it very much. You have such a keen eye. Thank you for your lovely thoughts on my blog.

Great photo! So creative, your words. I felt a lament of sorts as Winter approaches here in the Northland, yet the seasons all have purpose and meaning. Glad I stopped by.

Peace.

I have been 'lying low' as an old friend used to put it, not low through depression or anything like that but since my love passed away parts of my known world have passed too. I have difficulty recognizing the landscape around me, I'm lying low so that I can absorb some of the new terrain. I am still quite dizzy, it's going to take some time... Much of what I wrote about here in this space would involve a brief glimpse of 'my love' and our life together. I had thought of closing 'Finding my Bliss', for a pivotal part of everything this blog has stood for seemed on the surface of things to be missing! But as the days have come and gone I am beginning to look at things in a different light and although I am grieving for my love I find I am l feeling his prese
