Yesterday my feelings were fragile, we had planned a break by the ocean, but had to come home early ~ I was not feeling well. Today I had a ~~> I had intended to draw whilst away, so not to be thwarted I got my pencils and paper out this morning and started some observational drawing. But do you know what ?  It wasn't 'floating my boat'. I knew exactly where my boat would float though and, do so for hours ~ yes my joy  floats right here on this old computer screen, I load some images from my picture files then I am a happy bunny, I play and play all day, my calling you might say..... Today is all about coping strategies, I have had to give myself a good talking to, take myself in hand. I think it's working, yes, it is definitely working! I got some Joy out of my little creative endeavour, so I'm going to send it to Share the Joy Thursday Meri's Musings  

What am I going to do with this one beautiful day? It's yoga day, and yes yoga calls, but something is calling me louder! I have been having sleepless nights lately, health issues are causing me distress, me and the doc are sorting this! Meanwhile I have vowed to use the moments between the discomfort to 'revel in' as Susan Jeffers puts it "those exquisite moments"! This morning I have a yearning to share: Sometimes when I wake in the night I see this enormous star dangling in the blackness, it is so bright and beautiful my heart fills from its radiance, then as I look further into the sky and see hundreds of star jewels it reminds me they are like the multitude of exquisite moments in our lives. As with the blackness of a clear night sky, in life's ''dark night' somehow the jewels sparkle that much brighter, are more precious.  In making my vow to become more aware of these jewel like exquisite moments, I have observed somet...

A river flowed through me today, I noticed it as sun's shimmer danced on fragments of autumn, threads, just hanging, dangling, waiting to be noticed enticing me to play. Feeling the pull of the river, the flow, I stayed for a while until light faded. Meanwhile a restful haze surfaced revealing subtle creations of the mind, only detected by those who allow the river to flow. Linking with that Joyous Movement over at ~> Meri's Musings

My heart is hanging a little lighter now, after a harrowing few weeks of experiencing  both dark and light  simultaneously,  I'm in a playful mood now, as you can see I'm playing with my heart! Cast off and limping better My girl has turned a corner, out of hospital for good soon My scary hospital day patient test proved to be fine - relief! JOY Sharing my joy with Meri's Musings

What has brought me joy this week? I have spent a lot of time  reflecting quietly,  thinking about spring and the cycles of life, light, warmth, renewal, and   seeing an almost spontaneous smile  come across my daughter's face today whilst on leave from hospital, the simple things really. I'll be sharing my JOY with Meri's Musings

Ocean flashing kingfisher blue poppy silhouettes, pink perfect hue     dandelions parachute, warm summer breeze this has to be paradise, let me stay, please. A post in the waiting, the days have rolled by  and now we're breathing autumn air I can look back and sigh!
