Art 'Au Naturale'

Having wandered around the woods for a while we came upon this fantastic specimen
'Chinese Red Birch'
see the beautiful bark ...
take a closer peek
who'd a thought
nature could paint

so brilliantly?

I love your new glittery background.

The tree looks like a terrain map - lovely photos once again my wonderful Mum.

There is a lot going on in that bark. As well as being very pretty, it is that very thin layer below the bark that is the workhorse for the hugest tree.
I'm amazed at the colours. Great viewpoint.

This is simply stunning. I am amazed at how nature imitates art and art nature. The trunk looks like a piece of pottery specially treated to appear as it does. The power, majesty and height of the tree is overwhelming. what beautiful shots these are. Thank you for sharing them!

Much of what I wrote about here in this space would involve a brief glimpse of 'my love' and our life together. I had thought of closing 'Finding my Bliss', for a pivotal part of everything this blog has stood for seemed on the surface of things to be missing! But as the days have come and gone I am beginning to look at things in a different light and although I am grieving for my love I find I am l feeling his prese

Don't Blink

What rate ticketh clock? I blinked and a whole year passed or, was I dreaming? Somehow I seemed to have lost a whole year, it appears what I thought happened last year happened the year before! My sister who is twelve years my senior warned me about this ~ "wait until you get to my age then time really does fly"! Of course we'll never be able to confer! Still, living in the moment can feel like forever, because it is, I'm trying to make each beautiful moment count! Sharing with Haiku my Heart Recuerda mi Corazon
