Contemplating Grace at The Last Inn

A sense of place, you know what I mean?
You can't quite put your finger on it but it feels right like you belong,
something connects deep within saying 'home'.

We've been coming back to this old sailor's pub 'The Last Inn' for a few years now,
we want it to be our local, but we have to wait...........

We have to wait for tides to turn,
for sands to settle,
to reveal new contours of possibility.

At first the waiting room seemed small, cramped and dark,
a place I did not want to be, yet the longer I sat there in that space,
the more I became aware of light filtering through.

After adjusting my eyes I could see that light
was illuminating voids where hopelessness had once lain,
  shining down and revealing Hope

It was as if the light had been waiting all along
for the mind's barriers to be dismantled,
now with most of it's notions of darkness dispelled
 expansion could take place.

I read about it recently,
I'm not sure where, but I think it's true,
it went something like this ~

"in order for Spirit to do it's work a space has to be cleared first
to make way for Grace to take root, to grow".

oh Foxy, the second photo is exquisite. I am so glad I was able to get back on your blog. For some reason, it wouldn't let me when I clicked on the link from your comment :(

these photos are beautiful. you capture just what it means to have a place grip your heart so. i get that. and that quote...i am penning in my journal - that seems one to come back to. such beautiful expressions you share here.
I am moved by these lines: "It was as if the Light had been waiting all along for the mind's barriers to be dismantled. Now with most of its notions dispelled expansion could take place." Absolutely Beautiful! Speaks to where I am - the mind having taken hold once again - obscuring the Light that waits... Remembering each day to return to that beautiful space of Grace...

And I love the top photo! You are so gifted in many ways!

Bows to you...

dear one,

i have been out of town and away from the computer from the past few days. my posts have been programed to "arrive" and wanted to explain why i have not been by until now.

i sense great change on your horizon. sending love and light to hold you closely while you "wait".
hope all is well in the contours of your heart.

love that last one especially, like collage.

yes, this notion of making space, i touched on indirectly with my stuff post.we fill our spaces, both the environment around us and the space in our hearts and minds. it's in making space that we can be truly ful-filled.

Continuum

A Continuum ~> continual sequence of ~> elemental change ~> By far this is the most difficult post written by myself, ever. I have not visited this place for sometime... I have been 'lying low' as an old friend used to put it, not low through depression or anything like that but since my love passed away parts of my known world have passed too. I have difficulty recognizing the landscape around me, I'm lying low so that I can absorb some of the new terrain. I am still quite dizzy, it's going to take some time... Much of what I wrote about here in this space would involve a brief glimpse of 'my love' and our life together. I had thought of closing 'Finding my Bliss', for a pivotal part of everything this blog has stood for seemed on the surface of things to be missing! But as the days have come and gone I am beginning to look at things in a different light and although I am grieving for my love I find I am l feeling his prese
