Someone laid a snow blanket out here this cold morning,
A snow blanket offers the mind
a lair for protection and security,
to slip into the solitude,
to enter winter's wrap
enveloped in this
comfort.
I'm biding my time here, in my lair.
My day will come, my season,
and the snow blanket, it will melt,
and evaporate into
the ether.
And I will be gone into the summer sun!
it beckoned me beneath for solace and succour.
So, with hot-water bottle in hand I slid
into the softness thinking about love,
possibilities and new moons!

it is so important for us to take advantage of such stillness and rest
part of the seasons for the earth as well as for ourselves

I am reminded of Robert Frost's "Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening" first by your stunning image which I would love to frame and have near me always ; and next by your amazing prose which speaks of pausing and recognizing the intrinsic and inexpressible value of quietness and stillness that only a blanket of snow can provide . Lovely work!

i have been so absent from the blog world. this morning i have come straight to you and found a blanket of friendship that was never waned in
comfort and love.
thank you for being you, and all the seasons we have been blessed to know each other.

it was a breath of warm air to be away in san miguel. where the usual wifi access courtyard ran a muck leaving us completely off the grid.i am here to say i LOVED it! no phone, computer, heck i even left my camera go and just showed up every morning and allowed life to unfold in real time.
true confessions...wondering if my blogging days have come to an end.
thank you for visiting my unexpected post today and giving me pause to think more carefully on the idea of bowing out of bloglandia.
xoxoxoxoxo,
