Gathering Myself

Today I'm taking a little me time,
doing what I love to do,
just digital
doodling.

My mind has been on dolls,
motherhood,
Mary and the
coming
season.

Recently an acquaintance posted about 'Rag Doll', this is me at the moment,
I feel a bit like a rag doll, the stuffing has been knocked out a little.
So I'm taking time to just be, to gather myself, to see
where I can patch things up a bit, maybe a dash of
rouge will do the trick!  I'm giving myself some
'Mary mother love'.

I'm sending back my thanks

Recuerda mi Corazon

I once had a sweet little doll, dears,

The prettiest doll in the world;

Her cheeks were so red and so white; dears,
And her hair was so charmingly curled.

But I lost my poor little doll, dears,

As I played in the heath one day;

And I cried for her more than a week, dears;
But I never could find where she lay.

I found my poor little doll, dears,

As I played in the heath one day:

Folks say she is terrible changed, dears,
For her paint is all washed away,
And her arm trodden off by the cows, dears,
And her hair not the least bit curled:
Yet for old sakes' sake she is still, dears,
The prettiest doll in the world.

Oh my grandmother used to read that doll poem to me ~ Wonderful post and sending you lots of 'healing hugs' to you ~ (A Creative Harbor) ^_^
Am glad you are taking time to nurture yourself. I understand the "stuffing being knocked out"/rag doll feeling - great metaphor. And I know how hard it can be to bounce back again... May you rest in the cradle of the Divine Mother's Heart... Great photo shots! Hugs, C

The poem reminded me of the Velveteen Rabbit.

Hoping you are feeling more energetic and rested soon!

oh Foxy, this was so sad... be gentle on yourself, be kind with your soul...

Don't Blink

What rate ticketh clock? I blinked and a whole year passed or, was I dreaming? Somehow I seemed to have lost a whole year, it appears what I thought happened last year happened the year before! My sister who is twelve years my senior warned me about this ~ "wait until you get to my age then time really does fly"! Of course we'll never be able to confer! Still, living in the moment can feel like forever, because it is, I'm trying to make each beautiful moment count! Sharing with Haiku my Heart Recuerda mi Corazon
