Hello,

As you may have gleaned from my profile I'm called Susan Fox, affectionately nick-named Shoes'n'Frocks by my husband on account of my regular consumption of all things feminine.

In my creative life I've been drawn towards interior design, garden design, textile art, digital art, printmaking, altered books and other visuals but my abiding passion is for capturing the moments with my camera. Photography is one reason why I'm here writing on a blog, my blog, eventually after many hours of agonizing I finally plucked up the courage to post my first image.

So if anyone happens by my blog welcome, I hope you like what you see.

Welcome to Bloglandia! I love this photo - it's romantic, with "Joe and Sue" written in the mist, yet mysterious and moody too - like that. :)

good morning friend...
here in my world the sky is ink black the stars closer than bird song. i woke thinking of you and decided to scroll through every single post until i arrived here at your beginning. even under my still dark sky, this chilling morning in the heart of winter has been warmed by you.
you are a seeker on the path of deeper knowing. you are gently offering your beauty as you go..stepping out into life with honesty and love.

What to Do?

Jamie Ridler asks in Wishcasting Wednesday - How would you like to spend some time? Good question for me at this time of year as I usually embark on some course or other for the winter months ahead, and as usual I'm not sure?  I go through  familiar questions, what do I really love and would like to spend time pursuing?  I've got qualifications in Fine Art and my heart is in photography, graphics, printmaking etc. But I'm torn because I'm also interested in Personal Development and have a yearning to share what I've learned so far with others in some way, especially on-line?  So what do I do? How do  I spend some time doing what I want to do, don't know, not sure but one thing I do know is that I need to spend more time puzzling it out? Or will it just come to me?  Do I spend more time meditating upon these ideas??? For other wishcaster wishes visit Jamie Ridler Studios

Morning has Broken

Yesterday the black dog came to visit me, the same black dog who  used to visit Winston Churchill. When my daughter came around, she could  see the black dog had turned up too and  that I was completely at his mercy. She made her leave with a simple kiss and goodbye,  "hope he goes soon", I nodded in agreement. For when he's around he completely  demands my attention and there's no shaking him loose! On retiring I sternly told the black dog I didn't understand the reason for his visit and that I thought I had sat with him for long enough  and to be gone in the morning! *** I've not seen him so far, this morning thank goodness !!! It is the beginning of a brand new day,  I am grateful for each day of my life...   I was at a funeral on Friday,  to say we'd anticipated a sad day all turned out most beautifully.... my favourite hymn was sung 'Morning has Broken' On this brand new day I'm sitting here tapping the k...
