Weeping before the Sun

My heart weeps before the sun
for the mothers who will be finding
ordinary wash days now filled with pain,
longing to see a vest or a dress blowing in the wind,
instead empty hands and heavy hearts
become weighted down with the nothingness.

I pray there will come a healing
in its own due course for the mothers,
the fathers, the brothers and the sisters.
May all who have been touched by
such an unthinkable thing,
find comfort.

In sympathy with my sisters over the ocean.

Thank you for this beautiful poem Dear Sue. Like you my heart weeps too for the mothers, etc., and for the children still alive who have been deeply traumatized by what they had to experience at such a young age. I find myself lost for words, so I appreciate your words of comfort here... Blessings to you as well...
PS - Love the photo too with the little heart leaves...

my darling sue,
your photograph is at once hauntingly beautiful and filled with anguish. the simple chore of tending to the laundry, forever changed by loss and heartache. your words formed from a mothers heart are a bright offering, as are the almost indiscernible buds on the dark branches of life.
thank you for your warmth and comfort and for reaching out in love.

Your poem touched me deeply for it beautifully recognizes the ongoing anguish for those poor mothers, fathers and all others affected. Thank you for sharing your love and light. You photo is exquisite!

Dear sweet Sue, how grateful I am for you, your words, this amazing image that says so much, that touches this heart-ache that we all share, no matter where we are. It gives me comfort to think of you over the pond that our prayers can link and weave together in this way. Much love to you, always.

The poem you wrote is much more tender than mine. It seems that the slaughter of the innocents has affected many of us deeply.

Continuum

A Continuum ~> continual sequence of ~> elemental change ~> By far this is the most difficult post written by myself, ever. I have not visited this place for sometime... I have been 'lying low' as an old friend used to put it, not low through depression or anything like that but since my love passed away parts of my known world have passed too. I have difficulty recognizing the landscape around me, I'm lying low so that I can absorb some of the new terrain. I am still quite dizzy, it's going to take some time... Much of what I wrote about here in this space would involve a brief glimpse of 'my love' and our life together. I had thought of closing 'Finding my Bliss', for a pivotal part of everything this blog has stood for seemed on the surface of things to be missing! But as the days have come and gone I am beginning to look at things in a different light and although I am grieving for my love I find I am l feeling his prese
